A: Because we thoroughly check all the applications and in the case of Friends we even check id documents so that when you travel abroad you know that the person welcoming you in his/her hometown is fully reliable and responsible.

A: We try to make the entire process as straightforward as possible, whether you are a Traveller searching for a Friend, Guide, Tutor or Host in your destination or somebody who wants to meet people coming from outside his/her hometown. With just a few clicks you are available.

Q: How does it work ?
A: We built our system so as to match your profile details and your research with the best available options. Through our advanced search you will even be able to find people capable of dealing with your disability if you have any or pet / kids friendly people and / or accomodation. The system allows you to offer your availability for socializing as a Friend or to sell your services as a professional as a Guide, Tutor or Host.

Q: Sell services ? Wait a moment, do you mean that I can make money on easytovisit.com
A: Sure you can ! If you are a licensed Tourist Guide, if you have some a degree or qualification or if you own or manage an accommodation where you live in you can register as a Guide, Tutor or Host. We will receive bookings on your behalf, collect the money and make sure you are paid even in case of no-show. Cool isn’t it ?

Q: I’m not a tourist guide, I just want to meet new friends can I join too?
A: Of course, actually people like you are the backbone of our system. We strongly believe that the best part of travelling is to meet friendly locals and that the best bit of being a local is to meet curios and exciting travellers. Also don’t forget that you will be the one who will welcome a new traveller in your hometown, something to be proud of isn’t it ?
To assure you is actually you and you are not just goofing around or worst, we will require you to certify your identity by using our online system or uploading some id, of course it will all be super confidential between us. Once verified we will guarantee that you is you.


Q: What is a “Friend” in easytovisit.com ?
A: For us @ easytovisit.com a Friend is a committed local, whose identity has been verified, that is willing to make him/herself available for meeting people coming from outside his/her hometown and give them a helpful insight of the place.

Q: What is a “Traveller” in easytovisit.com ?
A: For us @ easytovisit.com a Traveller is a curious adventurer, the basic user of our system, if he/she just wants to buy a professional service like a guided tour, some tutoring or some accommodation he/she will not need anything but a basic registration. If he/she wants to meet a “Friend” they will have to undergo the same id-certification process in order to guarantee each others commitment and safety.

Q: Is it free to meet a Friend or to accept a meeting from a Traveller ?
A: It is free at the beginning. As a new user we have given you a free Token ( our virtual currency ), when you want to meet somebody you invest one Token and he/she will do the same to accept your request. We will only take the Token from you if the meeting actually occurs. If you feel particularly generous you can even pay for two Tokens ( one for you and one for the Friend you want to meet ). Once you have tried our system and you want to have more you will have to buy some more Tokens ( they are very cheap don’t worry ).

Q: Buy Tokens, you what? Nothing is free is it?
A: Alas, our bills are not cheap either :-). We could have provided you with a free of charge system for meeting on-site and maybe making money by spamming your emails like many other systems do, or maybe allowing many fake users to join our system. Our id-check system is mainly done by hand and is quite expensive to run but our users safety is paramount and we think that peace of mind is quite priceless when you travel ( especially abroad ). Also, the cost of our Tokens is as little as 60 cents … that’s quite cheap for a new friend isn’t it?


How to book a Friend

  • Browse the website and choose the place, time and person that suits you more.
  • When you have found the right person click on the “Meet me!” button, a request will be sent to the Friend for your desired time and place, you can also add a short text to explain better your needs. When booking a meeting with a Friend you will use one of the tokens from your account, you can also choose to pay for the token of the Friend as well if you feel like.
  • Your request can be accepted or rejected, if accepted you will be notified via email and via our message center and 1 or 2 Tokens ( depending on if you were or weren’t paying for both ) will be deducted from your account.
  • After the Friend has accepted your meeting request you will be given all the details of your contacts and your PNR for the meeting to be exchanged with your new Friend on-site.
  • You can cancel your booking and your tokens can be refunded up until 72 hours before the meeting.


How to book a Guide, Tutor or Host.

  • Browse the website and choose the place, time and kind of activity you want to do.
  • When you have found the right person click on the “Book me!” button, a request will be sent to the Guide, Tutor or Host for your desired time and place, you can also add a short text to explain better your needs.
  • Your request can be accepted or rejected, if accepted you will be notified via email and via our message center and you will be asked to confirm the booking by purchasing the service.
  • After purchasing the service you will be given all the details of your contacts and your PNR for the meeting to be exchanged with your contact on-site.
  • When you purchase the service you will have to pay the full amount in advance and you will then be given a receipt/invoice directly from the person that you will meet.
  • You can cancel your booking and be totally refunded up until 5 days before the meeting.


How to get a refund

  • When you cancel a meeting before 5 days from the meeting itself you are entitled to be refunded.
  • When you are stood up and the Guide, Tutor or Host doesn’t show up at the meeting you will be totally refunded.
  • If you cancel within 50 days from your booking your purchase will be totally refunded free of charge.
  • If you cancel over 50 days from your booking your purchase will be totally refunded but we will have to apply some transfer costs ( around 5% of the sum )


How to use the PNR

  • Every time you successfully book a meeting with one of our Friends, Guides, Tutors or Hosts you will be issued a 4 digit PNR ( personal number ), this code is your half of a 8 digit unique code related to your meeting, the other half is issued to your counterpart.
  • When you meet you will exchange the codes so that when you come back to the website for a review we can be 100% sure that you actually met the contact and that your review is true, also in case something goes wrong and you want to complain the counterpart cannot deny of having met you in person.
